Who this policy covers
It covers everyone who visits this website and everyone who calls the VoiceChemistry chat line at 929-477-5544. By using either one, you agree to what is described here.
You must be 18 or older to use VoiceChemistry. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and any account we find belonging to a minor is closed and its information deleted.
What we collect
Information you give us
If you buy time on the chat line, you provide billing details. If you email support, you provide your email address and whatever you choose to write in the message.
Information from your call
When you dial in, our system records the technical details needed to run the service: the calling number, the time and length of the call, and the minutes used. Your recorded greeting is also stored while it is active on the chat line.
Information from the website
Like most websites, ours logs basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the pages you visit. We use analytics tools to understand how the site is used in aggregate.
What we do not collect
- We do not record live conversations between callers.
- We do not ask for your name, address, date of birth or any identity document to use the chat line.
- We do not require payment details for the free trial.
- We do not store complete payment card numbers on our own systems. Payments are handled by a third party payment processor.
How we use what we collect
- To connect your calls, play your greeting and keep track of free trial minutes and purchased time.
- To process payments and answer billing questions.
- To investigate reports, enforce our rules, and remove callers who break them.
- To detect fraud, abuse, and attempts to misuse the service.
- To keep the website and the chat line working and to improve them.
- To send you service messages, and promotional messages only if you have agreed to receive them.
Your phone number and other callers
Your phone number is never shown to another caller. It is not displayed during a conversation, it is not attached to your greeting, and it is not published anywhere on the site.
We also do not disclose one caller's information to another caller, under any circumstances and regardless of the reason given.
How long we keep information
Call records and billing records are kept for as long as we need them to run the service, answer disputes, and meet legal and accounting obligations, and then deleted.
Recorded greetings are kept while they are active and removed when they are replaced or when the account goes inactive. Records connected to a report or investigation may be kept longer while that matter is open.
How we protect it
We use industry standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect the information we hold, including access controls and encryption in transit. No system is perfect, and we do not claim otherwise, but we treat caller information as something worth defending.
Your choices
- You can stop using the service at any time.
- You can unsubscribe from promotional messages using the link in the message or by emailing us.
- You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, subject to the records we are legally required to keep.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state privacy law, including the right to know, the right to delete and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Write to us and we will honor them.
To make any of these requests, email support@voicechemistry.com from the address or about the number connected to your use of the service.
Links to other sites
The site may link to pages we do not operate. We are not responsible for how those sites handle your information, and their policies apply once you leave ours.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the website or the chat line after an update means you accept the revised policy.
