Your Number Is Hidden From the Start
Your phone number is not shown to other callers at any point. Not during a conversation, not after it ends, and not on any profile, because there are no profiles here.
This is not a setting you have to find and switch on. It is how the chat line is built, and it applies to every caller on it from the second they dial.
What Another Caller Can Actually Learn About You
Only what you say out loud. That is the entire list.
There is no photo of you, no last name, no neighborhood pin on a map, and no account anybody can look up later. If you want somebody to know your first name, you say it. If you do not, you do not.
Our advice on the first call is simple. Keep your last name, your street, your building, your workplace, and anything to do with money out of it. Nobody who is genuinely there to talk will push you on any of that.
The Controls You Have on Every Call
Skip
Move to the next greeting whenever you want. The other caller is never told they were skipped.
Hang up
End a conversation at any moment and for any reason. You do not owe an explanation to anyone.
Block
A blocked caller cannot reach you again on the chat line. Blocking is immediate, and you do not have to say anything to the caller first.
Report
Report a caller and a moderator reviews it. Reports are taken seriously, and you can report someone whether or not you blocked them.
How Moderation Works
A real team watches the chat line around the clock, every day of the year. We do not employ automated filters. We also do not keep any queues that get looked at once a week.
We promptly remove bad actors from the scene - harassers, people who can't understand a no, or others who degrade the quality of experience for other callers.
Live conversations are private between the two callers on them. We do not sit in on calls, and we do not keep recordings of them.
Eighteen and Older, With No Exceptions
VoiceChemistry is an adult service. Before being let into the chat line, everyone has to confirm that they are 18 or older.
If you ever find someone underage on the chat line, you can report it using the system's reporting function (by pressing a key), or emailing us at support@voicechemistry.com.
Scams and Pressure, and What to Do About Them
Chat lines are not immune to the same handful of scripts that show up everywhere else online. They are easy to spot once you know the shape of them.
- Somebody who needs money, a gift card, or a wire transfer, no matter how good the story is.
- Somebody pushing you to move to another app or a different number within the first few minutes.
- Somebody who wants photos of you before they will keep talking.
- Somebody who gets annoyed when you slow the conversation down.
None of these are things you have to argue with. Block, report, and carry on with the rest of the chat line.
What We Will Never Do
- We will never show your phone number to another caller.
- We will never tell one caller anything about another, including whether they are still calling.
- We will never pass a message between two callers who did not exchange details themselves.
- We will never sell your information or hand it to advertisers.
- We will never make an exception to the age rule for anyone.
